Abstract
A boundary integral equation (BIE) is developed for the application of the boundary element method to the multigroup neutron diffusion equat ions. The developed BIE contains no explicit scattering term; the scat tering effects are taken into account by redefining the unknowns. Boun dary elements of the linear and constant variety are utilised for vali dation of the developed boundary integral formulation. (C) 1997 Elsevi er Science Ltd.
