Abstract
1-Aminocyclohexa-1,3-diene derivatives (4) under bar and <(14)under ba r> were obtained by the reaction of N-methyl aminocrotonanilides (2) u nder bar with ethyl benzylidene acetoacetate or benzylidene acetoaceto ne under Hantzsch pyridine synthesis conditio ns. Other products of ca rbocyclization - cyclohexenones (5) under bar, (6) under bar and hydro xycyclohexanone (7) under bar were also isolated from the same reactio n.
