Abstract
Strain Rhodococcus ruber 2B, isolated from the active mud of sewage tr eatment facilities, was used to accelerate the degradation of dimethyl terephthalate and dibutyl terephthalate in soil. Terephthalate monoes ters and terephthalic acid were found among the metabolites of dimethy l terephthalate and dibutyl terephthalate in soil.
