The propagation of a potential wave is experimentally observed under c
onditions of pulsed electric breakdown (voltage pulse amplitude, 250 k
V; pulse duration, 35 ns) of an air gap along an extended laser-induce
d spark. The model of nonlinear diffusion of potential is used to anal
yze the wave behavior and propagation.
