INFLUENCE OF DOMESTIC WASTE-WATER SLUDGE AND WATER SLUDGE ON EDAPHIC MESOFAUNA

Domestic wastewater sludge and water sludge were applied on a Cambicso il in the Campus of Agrarian Sciences School of the Federal University of Parana Curitiba, Brazil. sixty days after the application, the com munity and population of Oribatei (Acari: Cryptostigmata) and Collembo la (Insecta) were evaluated with funnel (Berleze's modified type). The soil sampling was carried out on the depth 0 - 5 cm. The field observ ation shows that, although they increased 30 days after the applicatio n, the populations of Oribatei and Collembola in the application area were closed to these in the nun-application area.
