The diet of Callinectes danae from Lagoa da Conceicao were examined fo
r seasonal and ontogenetic variations. A total of 456 males and 527 fe
males were caught. The diet of the species was not sex related. The tr
ophic spectrum of C. danae is composed by 35 items were assembled in 1
4 categories. Seasonal and ontogenetic variations in the species was d
etermined by the availability and capacity of capturing prey in the ar
ea.
