Ion-exchange equilibria involving Na+, K+, and Pb2+ cations on low-sil
ica clinoptilolite (existing in nature in calcium form) and on high-si
lica clinoptilolite (predominantly existing in nature in sodium form)
were studied. It was found that the Na-forms of low-and high-silica mo
difications of clinoptilolite exhibit enhanced selectivity with respec
t to bivalent Pb2+ cations and monovalent K+ cations, respectively.
