Abstract
We extend the method of QCD sum rules in external fields to determine the rho NN and omega NN strong couplings, including both the vector an d tensor couplings. Such information has been used for years in the co nstruction of nuclear potentials, but our attempt represents the first direct contact with QCD in terms of the basic parameters associated w ith the nontrivial QCD vacuum.
