Abstract
The self-associations of benzoic acid in two-phase system water-benzen e are investigated at 25 degrees C. The partition method is used and a neutralisation curves network of benzoic acid is defined on all solub ility areas of the acid. Our potentiometric results allow us to conser ve the commonly admitted hypothesis on the only formation of monomer i n aqueous phase. But unlike the previous studies on this system our di stribution datas are better interpreted by mean of monomer-dimer-trime r model in benzenic phase. The acidity constant, partition coefficient and self-associations constants are evaluated. Our results are report ed.
