Abstract
High grade brain tumors carry a dramatic prognosis while they do not g ive metastases. The use of fast neutrons to overstep this radioresista nce allows to sterilize tumor sites, but fells to reach any therapeuti c window because of the high radiosensitivity of normal brain tissues. The use of boron neutron capture, i.e. the creation selectively withi n the tumoral cells of nuclear reactions releasing a particles, gives a new prospect to fast neutrons beams, provided that a B-10 concentrat ion over 100 mu g/g may be reached into the tumor.
