The string-dominated universe is a flat universe that locally resemble
s an open universe and Bts dynamical measures of power spectra, cluste
r abundances, redshift distortions, lensing constraints, luminosity, a
ngular diameter distance relations, and microwave background observati
ons. We show examples of networks that might give rise to recent strin
g-domination when formed by a phase transition near the electro-weak s
ymmetry breaking scale. We discuss how future observations can disting
uish this model from other cosmologies.
