Abstract
A versatile electrochemical technique for alumina production, outperfo rming the existing techniques in a number of parameters, is proposed. The ecological safety of the technique and the cost price of the produ ct are evaluated. It is shown that in principle this technique can be used for synthesizing and purifying other oxides.
