The photometric observations of two strongly interacting W Ser binarie
s (KX And and V367 Cyg) are analyzed. The spectral classification of t
he stellar components of the binaries is made, and the nature of exces
s emission at lambda lambda 3.5 and 5 mu m is studied. It is shown tha
t the observed LM excess can be attributed to the emission from disk-s
haped ionized shells.
