We have studied the magnetization of melt spun amorphous Fe80-xTmxB20
alloys with 0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 15 under m
agnetic fields up to 18 kOe, and have analyzed the results at differen
t temperatures based on the random magnetic anisotropy model. Exchange
interactions J(FeFe) and J(FeTm) evaluated by the fitting of AI-T cur
ves are discussed. The local random anisotropy K-L and the exchange co
nstant A are found to decrease with increasing temperature. Experiment
al data show that the ferromagnetic correlation length R-f decreases w
ith increasing Tm content.
