Abstract
From the hydrophilic fraction of the Chinese medicinal plant Rhynchote chum vestitum, three anthraquinones quinones were isolated. Munjistin- 1-O-methyl ether is a new compound, its structure was determined on th e basis of spectral analysis. The occurrence of rubiadin-3-O-beta-gluc oside and lucidin-3-O-beta-glucoside in the plant and some of their sp ectral data are reported. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
