Gm. Terakopyan et al., EXPERIMENTAL METHODS FOR STUDYING SPONTANEOUS AND LOW-ENERGY NUCLEAR-FISSION, Physics of particles and nuclei, 28(6), 1997, pp. 543-555
The various experimental methods used in studying spontaneous and low-
energy nuclear fission in order to determine the fragment kinetic ener
gy, mass, charge, excitation energy, and spin are reviewed. Special at
tention is paid to the description of a new approach to the study of f
ission based on the spectrometry of multiple prompt fission gamma rays
. Some new data on the spontaneous fission of Cf-252 Obtained using th
is approach are presented. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physics.
