Based on the dependence of the lower ignition limit of dichlorosilane-
oxygen mixtures on the reactor diameter, we determined the rate consta
nt for the linear chain branching at the diffusion-controlled chain te
rmination at 120-200 degrees C: (3 +/- 1.5) x 10(-11) exp[-(29.5 +/- 4
.0) kJ/mol/RT] cm(3)/s.
