The spent catalyst from the ammonia synthesis was chemically and techn
ologically characterized and the kinetics of its decomposition with su
lphuric acid was experimentally studies, at laboratory scale. The resu
lts got showed that the acid temperature and concentration have a favo
urable influence upon the solid solubilization rate. The graphical pro
cessing of the data showed that the process takes place in the transfo
rmation range (Ea = 45...67,4 kJ/mol) the kinetic order depending on t
he sulphuric acid excess only, as per the relation n = e(0.03E+0.5056)
