Abstract
The paper deals with the problems encountered during the process of ga lvanizing the parts and items made up of sinterized, porous and permea ble materials. Since the porous materials, sinterized from metallic po wders, are esentially defferent from the compact ones-their corrosion protection has some particularities. We have laboratory-tested 4 types of electrochemical galvanization, the best results being obtained wit h a weakly acid galvanization electrolyte, having a law metal content and using a pulsatory current; it was folio wed by a shiny galvanizati on weakly acid based on chlorides, using high, current densities A dec isive part was played by the galvanization surface preparation, e.g. t he hot-and cold-water washings between the chemical and electrochemica l steps.
