Abstract
A new neo-clerodane diterpenoid, (13R)-1 beta-11 beta-diacetoxy-6 alph a-hydroxy-7 beta-senecioyloxy-8 beta,13-epoxy-4(1 8)-neocleroden-15,16 -olide (Scuteselerin), has been isolated from the aerial parts of Scut ellaria seleriana, besides the known flavone oroxylin A. The structure of the new diterpenoid was established by spectroscopic methods. (C) 1997 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
