The structure of teliglazine (1), a new oxoaporphine alkaloid isolated
from the basic fraction of Telitoxicum glaziovii Moldenke, was determ
ined by spectral data and synthetic transformation from the known alka
loid, O-methylmoschatoline. Three other oxoaporphines, splendidine, im
enine, O-methylmoschatoline; the azafluoranthene telitoxine, and the 4
,5-dioxoaporphines, ouregidione and 4,5-dioxodehydroasimilobine, were
also present in this plant.
