Abstract
Oilfield and laboratory studies have identified unrecoverable deformat ions which exist in formation pressure reduction zones at numerous fie lds in Western Siberia. Such deformations are driven by loads and time of exposure. In addition to lower production rates, these deformation s tend to reduce the overall oil recovery.
