Abstract
In this work, the data on necrotic genotypes of 92 spring common wheat varieties are presented. Twelve of them were shown to be Ne1-carriers , 8 varieties were Ne2-carriers, while 72 varieties were non-carriers of the hybrid necrosis genes (the genotype ne1 ne1 ne2 ne2). It was su ggested that hybrid necrosis genes were linked to the genes affecting wheat competition with other varieties during selection at breeding.
