Naevus sudoriferus (local hyperhidrosis) or ephidrosis, in an 8-year-o
ld girl is presented. The symptoms consisted of sweating in an area on
the dorsal aspect of the right forearm and had been present for appro
ximately 1 year. Episodes of hyperhidrosis occurred 2-4 times daily. T
he diagnosis was supported using the starch-iodine sweat test, which d
elineated the area of sweat dysfunction. The patient was treated topic
