The petrographical study of the sedimentary organic matter contained i
n recent sediments from ''Le Petit Lac d'Annecy'' allows to obtain a p
alaeoenvironmental signal based on the aurochthonous/allochthonous org
anic matter ratio of the past 1000 years. The new limnological regime,
linked with the anthropisation of the watershed, makes possible to re
ad directly this signal in terms of lacustrine phytoplanktonic product
ion since ca AD 1000. This signal also points out various erosion even
ts seen by specific organic deliveries from the watershed, evidencing
periods of increased running-off or intensive land-uses.
