Abstract
A patient with Finnish type familial systemic amyloidosis associated w ith lattice corneal dystrophy (Meretoja's syndrome) underwent heart tr ansplantation with uneventful postoperative course. Five years later t he patient has mild chronic renal failure, normal cardiac allograft fu nction and almost total bilateral blindness.
