Abstract
The sennoside content of a drug gained from Senna plants can be determ ined directly by NIR-spectrometry by measuring the original products i n diffuse reflection without further sample preparation. This however requires a previous calibration with standards the concentrations of w hich have to be determined by an adequate reference method. We show th at HPLC is suitable for this purpose.
