Abstract
THE present study was undertaken to investigate further how human subj ects prepare default parameters of reaching movements. Two qualitative ly different modes for setting default values of direction are possibl e (continuous and discrete mode) and there is a threshold visual targe t separation for continuous or discrete programming. The most prominen t finding is that the continuous and discrete modes of programming can be used concurrently.
