In both rbe series of ternary d-metal pnictides MnFeP1-xAsx and MnRhP1
-xAsx the magnetic properties appear to be very sensitive to external
parameters (temperature, pressure, magnetic field) and chemical compos
ition. An extended analysis of previous experimental results is discus
sed in relation to the magneto-elastic phase transition in view of ban
d structure calculations. The principal trends of these experiments ar
