H. Yamada et al., A STUDY OF PERPENDICULAR MAGNETIC RECORDING CHARACTERISTICS WITH MAGNETORESISTIVE HEAD, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 176(1), 1997, pp. 56-60
A magnetoresistive head (MR head) is applied to the readback process i
n perpendicular recording in comparison with longitudinal recording. A
higher readback voltage, increased by a factor of nearly two, is obta
ined in association with the large recording magnetization of a perpen
dicular medium. D-50 Of the perpendicular medium is the same as the lo
ngitudinal one? which is thought to be a limitation of the MR head.
