PROPERTIES AND UNITS IN THE CLINICAL LABORATORY SCIENCES - PART XI - CODING SYSTEMS - STRUCTURE AND GUIDELINES

In ENV1614:1995 the system of concepts for properties in the clinical laboratory sciences has been elaborated and in part 1 of this series t he syntax and semantic rules are presented. The present document deals with the procedures for assembling the elements of a term for a prope rty into a string of code values representing the intensional definiti on of a property. This is done by use of semantic links that ensure th e correct localisation of the elements according to the syntax rules. Further some special features needed as extensions to the general stru cture are presented.
