D. Naumann et al., PREPARATION, NMR-SPECTROSCOPY AND REACTIV ITY OF PERFLUOROALKYLSILVER(I) COMPOUNDS, Journal of organometallic chemistry, 547(1), 1997, pp. 79-88
Perfluoroalkylsilver(I) compounds are obtained via ligand exchange rea
ctions of AgNO3 and Cd(R-f)(2) compounds in aprotic polar solvents. Eq
uilibria between the neutral species AgRf . D and the ionic species [A
g(R-f)(2)](-) involve silver(I) ions and exhibit strange solvent-depen
dency. The F-19- and Ag-109-NMR data as well as the T-1-values have be
en measured. Reactions with e.g. C6H5HgCl proceed at -30 degrees C wit
hin a few minutes to give the corresponding phenyl(perfluoroalkyl)merc
ury derivatives. However, the versatility of AgR,reagents as perfluoro
alkyl-group transfer reagents in DMF and N(C2H5)(3) remains limited.
