C. Jonin et al., TEMPERATURE EFFECT UP TO 1100 K ON THE XE-2(ASTERISK) EXCIMER LUMINESCENCE USING 2-PHOTON EXCITATION, The Journal of chemical physics, 108(2), 1998, pp. 480-484
The temperature effect on the Xe-2 excimer emission near 172 nm was s
tudied up to 1100 K. As the temperature is increased, the line shape b
ecomes asymmetric, its width increases and its maximum shifts to the b
lue. The results were simulated using Franck-Condon calculations, Good
agreement between the experimental data and the derived profiles was
obtained using a Morse potential for the excited state. The deduced pa
rameters for this potential are D-e = 0.51 +/- 0.01 eV, r(e) = 3.06 +/
- 0.05 Angstrom, and beta = 0.85 +/- 0.05a(0)(-1). Comparisons were ma
de with available data, (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics.
