SYNTHESIS OF OLIGOPEPTIDE AND PEPTIDOMIMETIC LIBRARIES

The elaboration of peptide libraries prepared by either chemical or bi ological methods in a format useful for discovery of peptides with spe cific biological activities was first introduced in the 1980s. A virtu al explosion of activity in this area has occurred recently, and the b asic approaches have been applied to a wide variety of chemistries and for all manner of biological, chemical and physical targets. Recent a dvances include new synthetic methodologies, new analytical methods, n ew design methods and new assay procedures.
