Abstract
A comparative examination of the friction coefficients, f(ik), couplin g coefficients, q(ik), and mobility indices of water, RT/c(w)r(ww), fo r the cation-exchange membranes, published from different laboratories , is presented. The counterion-coion-water and membrane network intera ctions have been discussed and general conclusions about the interrela tions of the membrane morphology and properties have been drawn.
