Abstract
The optic phonon modes of hydrogen in dhcp iron hydride (FeHx with x c lose to 1) were investigated by neutron spectroscopy. The optic phonon s have energies between similar to 70 and similar to 140 meV. The aver age energy of the optic phonons is similar to 105 meV.
