Complex permeability measurements in the 5 Hz-13 MHz frequency range w
ere carried out in nickel-zinc ferrites of compositions NixZn(1-x)Fe2O
4 with 0.3 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.4 in the 11
0-450 K temperature range. A simple method was used to eliminate the c
oil effects from the sample response. An equivalent circuit was derive
d to model the experimental results. The circuit elements were associa
ted with the physical parameters of the material. Finally, a relation
between the relaxation frequency and the magnetocrystalline anisotropy
constant was established. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
