Yb. Lishmanov et al., TC-99M-TEKHNETRIL (TC-99M-MIBI) LABELED WITH TC-99M FROM EXTRACTION AND SORPTION GENERATORS IN SCINTIGRAPHIC DIAGNOSTICS OF CORONARY-ARTERYDISEASE, Radiochemistry, 39(5), 1997, pp. 404-409
Patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) and without coronary patho
logy were studied by single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT
) with Tekhnetril labeled with Tc-99m from extraction and sorption gen
erators. MiBi labeled with Tc-99m prepared from extraction generator i
s uniformly distributed over myocardial areas of the patients of refer
ence groups both at rest and at peak of dipyridamole test. The differe
nce in minimal and maximal accumulation of the radiopharmaceutical is
no more that 30-40%, The sensitivity and specificity of CAD diagnosis
by SPECT with Tekhnetril labeled with Tc-99m from extraction generator
are 94 and 89% respectively. The myocardium scintigraphy with Tc-99m-
Tekhnetril is the most sensitive for patients with CAD and previous my
ocardial infarct and is almost independent of the number of affected c
oronary arteries. The diagnostic properties of Tekhnetril labeled with
Tc-99m from extraction and sorption generators are identical.
