Abstract
Amiloride-sensitive Na+ channels are important control elements used i n regulating Na+ transport into cells and across epithelia. These chan nels are widespread and display a myriad of different properties. Even a single type of amiloride-sensitive Na+ channel can have variable ch aracteristics, depending on its biochemical and/or physical configurat ion.
