Abstract
A semi-empirical rheological equation of state was developed to descri be temperature, shear rate and composition dependence of the steady-st ate shear viscosity of poly(L-lactic acid)(PLA)/poly(epsilon-caprolact one)(PCL) systems. The composition dependent rheological equation of s tate proposed here has a very simple algebraic form with a few adjusta ble parameters. Its simplicity is a great advantage for practical appl ication and it appears to be suitable for describing the rheological b ehaviour of PLA/PCL blends. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
