Abstract
MICROWAVE-TUNING elements are simple in nature, but can provide effect ive solutions for the design of a wide range of high-frequency compone nts, including filters, oscillators, delay lines, multiplexers, and di electric-resonant (DR) structures. fn general, a tuning element consis ts of a mounting bushing with an integral tuning rotor. As the rotor i s moved, it changes the capacitive loading between a circuit's ground plane and active regions.
