Abstract
One hundred and five horses with laryngeal hemiplegia were surgically treated. The diagnostic and operative techniques are discussed. The ma jority of patients were young male half-bred riding horses. The animal s were followed from six months to over five years after discharge fro m the clinic. The results after surgery were excellent in 80.5 % of th e cases, with very little postoperative complications.
