Abstract
The first species of the ordo Archaeognatha from amber of the Dominica n Republic (age ca 20-25 million years) is described: All of the more than 100 examined specimens can be assigned to a single species, Neoma chilellus (Praeneomachilellus) dominicanus n.subgen n.sp. Concerning f ossil species of Archaeognatha, also the first record and description is given for the 2 freeliving unsealed developmental stages.
