Abstract
LiCoO2 is synthesized by microwave heating. It has high capacity and g ood cycleability. The advantages of microwave synthesis are: (i) the c alcination process is very fast; (ii) the synthesized powders have sma ll and uniform grains; (iv) the synthesis temperature can be lower, an d (iv) the lithium oxide loss is smaller.
