Abstract
We report measurements of the absolute differential cross sections for charge transfer scattering of 0.5-, 0.85-, 1.5-, 2.8-, and 5-keV Of b y N-2 at scattering angles between 0.04 degrees and 3.1 degrees in the laboratory frame. Cross sections for both O+(S-4) ground-state and O(D-2, P-2) metastable projectiles are presented. The groundstate cross section is much smaller than that for the metastable state and the in fluence of the electronic state of the projectile on the angular distr ibution of the scattered neutrals is also very significant. The estima ted total cross sections are compared with previous measurements. [S20 50-2947(98)08401-7].
