The crystalline network structure of conducting (ET)(2)I-3 reticulate
doped polycarbonate carbonate (RDP) films were analysed by X-ray as we
ll as ESR, transport properties and superconducting characteristics of
the films were investigated. It was found that under certain conditio
ns of the second step of the RDP-film preparation, an oriented alpha-(
ET)(2)I-3 crystalline network is formed. The c-axis of the linked alph
a-(ET)(2)I-3 crystallites are perpendicular to the film surface and co
nsequently their conducting layers are parallel to this surface. Moreo
ver, this type of crystalline network orientation is kept during the a
lpha--->beta(t)-(ET)(2)I-3 transition which takes place under film ann
ealing. Thus, the conducting layers of the linked superconducting beta
(t)-(ET)(2)I-3 crystals are also parallel to the film surface. It was
demonstrated that superconducting properties are present in all parts
of the beta(t)-(ET)(2)I-3 RDP film.
