FADING MEMORY EFFECTS IN ELASTIC-VISCOELASTIC COMPOSITES

We study the macroscopic behavior of an elastic-viscoelastic mixture, in the non periodic case. The oscillating problem presents an elastic term and a short memory term. At the macroscopic level a long memory t erm, of the convolution type, also appears. The main result consists i n establishing the limit equation and characterizing its coefficients in terms of the oscillations of the domains occupied by each component of the mixture.
