Experiments of electron-spin resonance (ESR) were performed on Co2+ in
single-crystal and powder samples of NH4NiPO4 .6H2O. The angular vari
ation of the resonance field of the crystalline sample can be interpre
ted in terms of two magnetically nonequivalent sites related by a symm
etry operation. From the fitting of the ESR data, the spin-Hamiltonian
parameters are determined. A theoretical analysis of these results is
presented.
