Abstract
A method for measuring the concentration of I-129 isotope mixed with I -127 isotope is proposed. The proposed method implies the use of a fre quency-tunable He-Ne laser (633 nm) and variation of the temperature o f iodine isotope vapor mixture. The limiting I-129 : I-127 concentrati on ratio that can be measured by the proposed method is not worse than 3 x 10(-3). The proposed technique can be employed for technological applications related to the recycling of waste nuclear fuel on radioch emistry plants, as well as for the ecological monitoring of the atmosp here.
