Abstract
The anion of the title compound, (NH4)[Au(C5H10NO2S)(2)].3.667H(2)O, h as roughly linear coordination of the Au atom to the S atoms of the li gands [Au-S 2.2900 (13) Angstrom and S-Au-S 178.47 (7)degrees]. The C- S ... S-C torsion angle is 29.3 (2)degrees. The packing arrangement is determined by short Au ... Au contacts [3.221 (1) Angstrom] as well a s hydrogen-bonding interactions between ligand carboxylate and amine f unctional groups, the ammonium counter-cation and water molecules of h ydration. Bond lengths and angles are normal.
